ACUPUNCTURE is an ancient healing modality comprised of physics, metaphor and poetry. It is the fine art of listening, smelling, looking, tasting, and touching to understand what is going on inside a human body. Acupuncture needles are inserted into points on the body along pathways of energy to balance the flow of energy, fluids, and heat or cold. While the needles are retained, the body releases endorphins, the feel-good hormone, which remind the body what it is to feel well. Indeed, the release of endorphins inhibits the release of cortisol, the stress hormone. When the body is brought to this state of peace, it is reminded that it can heal itself.

SOUND THERAPY has been used as a healing modality for thousands of years. The didjeridu (a wind/percussion instrument also known as the yidaki) begins its life as a seed, grows to be a tree, becomes host and food for the white ant (termite), and then is transformed into an instrument for the music making and songs of the Yolngu, an Aboriginal people of Northeast Arnhemland, Australia. The journey of this instrument and the sound that it creates make it a perfect tool for grounding an individual on a healing journey.

The sound of the didjeridu and its harmonics, when played over the body, reconnects us to our divine nature, and entrains our resonance to frequencies of balanced energy. The busy chatter of the mind is quieted, allowing us to immediately access deeper states of consciousness or meditative states. In this state of being, your path to healing yourself is less cluttered. We are resonating, as is everything surrounding us.
